Lenovo covers everything from ThinkPad-inherited professional design through Legion gaming machines to Yoga convertibles. Material choice should match the machine's category.

For Legion and LOQ gaming, textured materials like Black Carbon Fiber and Forged Carbon match the angular chassis and add visual grip where your hands rest. Matte Black is the understated option on the same machines.

For Yoga and Slim ultrabooks, cleaner materials work better — Satin Aluminum, Satin White, and Brushed Black complement the thin form factor without adding visual weight.

Installing skins on a Lenovo laptop

Lenovo laptops have model-specific quirks — Legion models have hidden vent cutouts, Yoga convertibles have 360° hinges, and Slim models have very tight edge tolerances. The install guide marks tack points for each specific model.

Start by aligning the lid using tack points. Once positioned correctly, work the squeegee outward from those tack points, pushing air toward the edges. The bottom panel comes next. Take extra care on Yoga models — the hinge line needs clean edges so the 360° rotation doesn't catch.

Room temperature around 70°F works best. Every Lenovo model we cover has a dedicated install video posted online.

How long does it take to install a laptop skin?

Most installs take 20–40 minutes for a careful first-timer. The install video for your specific model walks through each panel. We include two skins per order, so if the first install doesn't go as planned, you have a second to try again.

What if the skin doesn't fit my laptop?

Every template is designed on the actual device before release, so fit issues are rare. If something's off, reach out — we'll offer install help or process a return on unused, non-custom orders. Check the install guide for cutout reference before installing if you're unsure.

Can I remove the skin later?

Our skins are designed to peel off with heat from a hair dryer. Apply gentle heat to the edge, lift slowly, and the skin should come up without leaving residue. Always test with low heat first on textured or painted chassis.

Will the skin survive the 360° hinge rotation on Yoga laptops?

Yes. The skin cuts around the hinge line so nothing crosses into the rotation zone. The lid and bottom are separate pieces with clean edges at the hinge. Rotation works exactly as before.
