The Pixel Tablet has a distinctive soft-touch coating and design language closer to furniture than hardware. Material choice works with or against that deliberate aesthetic.

Matte Black, Satin White, and Charcoal Grey preserve the clean Pixel design. Satin Aluminum and Brushed Aluminum add metallic feel without breaking the minimalism.

Pixel Tablet has a distinctive soft-touch coated back — the skin replaces that texture with whatever material you chose. The install guide marks tack points.

Start by aligning the back using tack points. Work the squeegee outward. Room temperature around 70°F works best.

Frequently asked about Google Tablet Skins

How long does it take to install a tablet skin?

Most installs take 15–30 minutes. The install video for your model walks through the back panel, camera cutouts, and speaker alignment. Two skins per order means you have a second if the first install doesn't go as planned.

What if the skin doesn't fit my tablet?

Every template is designed on the actual tablet before release. If something's off, reach out — we'll remake the skin or process a return on unused, non-custom orders. Check the install guide for cutout reference before installing if you're unsure.

Does the skin replace the factory soft-touch coating?

Yes. The skin goes over the coating — you'll feel and see whatever material you chose, not the original texture. If you value the factory soft-touch feel, a skin transforms that; it doesn't preserve it.

Will the skin interfere with a stylus, keyboard cover, or case?

The vinyl adds minimal thickness. Most cases and keyboard covers fit over the skin without issue. Styluses work as normal since the skin covers the back, not the screen. For specific accessory compatibility, reach out before installing.

Will the Pixel Tablet still dock on the charging speaker dock?

Yes. The dock's pogo-pin contacts have cutouts in the template. The tablet docks and charges on the speaker dock normally.
