Installing skins on an HP Omen

Omen laptops have complex thermal designs — multiple vent zones, angled panels, and RGB light zones on some models. The install guide marks tack points for each Omen model.

Start by aligning the lid using tack points. Work the squeegee outward. The bottom panel comes next — take extra time on the vent cutouts, which are more complex than most laptops. Room temperature around 70°F works best.

What if the skin doesn't fit my laptop?

Every template is designed on the actual device before release, so fit issues are rare. If something's off, reach out — we'll offer install help or process a return on unused, non-custom orders. Check the install guide for cutout reference before installing if you're unsure.

Is the Omen Transcend skin different from the regular Omen 16?

Yes. Omen Transcend has a different chassis design — thinner, different port layout, different logo treatment. Match the exact Transcend model on the product page. A regular Omen 16 skin will not fit a Transcend 16.

Can I remove the skin later?

Our skins are designed to peel off with heat from a hair dryer. Apply gentle heat to the edge, lift slowly, and the skin should come up without leaving residue. Always test with low heat first on textured or painted chassis.

Does the skin cover the Omen logo RGB?

Most Omen templates cut around the RGB logo so it stays visible. Some designs cover it fully. The product page for each model shows which option is available.
