Installing skins on an HP laptop

HP laptops vary in complexity — Omen and Victus gaming machines have multiple vent zones and RGB cutouts, while OmniBook models are simpler. The install guide marks tack points for each model.

Start by aligning the lid with the tack points. Once positioned correctly, work the squeegee outward from the tack points, pushing air toward the edges. The bottom panel comes next — take care with the multiple vent cutouts on gaming models.

Room temperature around 70°F works best. Every HP model we cover has a dedicated install video posted online.

Every template is designed on the actual device before release, so fit issues are rare. If something's off, reach out — we'll offer install help or process a return on unused, non-custom orders. Check the install guide for cutout reference before installing if you're unsure.

How do I find my HP model number?

Flip the laptop over — the model is printed on the bottom label (something like Omen 16-xf0013dx or OmniBook Ultra 14). The full model string matters because HP reuses names across generations.

Can I remove the skin later?

Our skins are designed to peel off with heat from a hair dryer. Apply gentle heat to the edge, lift slowly, and the skin should come up without leaving residue. Always test with low heat first on textured or painted chassis.

Does the skin cover the RGB logo on Omen laptops?

Most Omen templates cut around the RGB logo so it stays visible. Some designs cover it fully for a cleaner look. The product page for each Omen model shows which option is available.
