Installing skins on an HP OmniBook

OmniBook laptops have clean, simple geometry — one of the more forgiving HP lines to install. The install guide marks tack points for each OmniBook model.

Start by aligning the lid using tack points. Work the squeegee outward. The bottom panel comes next. Room temperature around 70°F works best.

How long does it take to install a laptop skin?

Most installs take 20–40 minutes for a careful first-timer. The install video for your specific model walks through each panel. We include two skins per order, so if the first install doesn't go as planned, you have a second to try again.

What if the skin doesn't fit my laptop?

Every template is designed on the actual device before release, so fit issues are rare. If something's off, reach out — we'll offer install help or process a return on unused, non-custom orders. Check the install guide for cutout reference before installing if you're unsure.

Does the AI sticker on OmniBook stay visible with the skin?

The Copilot+ or Intel AI sticker is peeled off before install (most users remove it anyway). The skin goes over the palm rest cleanly — the sticker location becomes invisible under the vinyl.

Can I remove the skin later?

Our skins are designed to peel off with heat from a hair dryer. Apply gentle heat to the edge, lift slowly, and the skin should come up without leaving residue. Always test with low heat first on textured or painted chassis.

Is the OmniBook a rebrand of the HP Spectre or EliteBook?

OmniBook is HP's consolidated premium line that replaced some of the Pavilion and Spectre variants in the 2024 refresh. If you have a Spectre from 2023 or earlier, look for it under that name rather than OmniBook.
