Installing skins on a Dell Plus

Dell Plus machines have simpler geometry than XPS — fewer complex cutouts, straighter panels. The install guide marks tack points for each Dell Plus model.

Start by aligning the lid using tack points. Work the squeegee outward. The bottom panel comes next. Dell Plus installs are among the more forgiving in the Dell lineup. Room temperature around 70°F works best.

What if the skin doesn't fit my laptop?

Every template is designed on the actual device before release, so fit issues are rare. If something's off, reach out — we'll offer install help or process a return on unused, non-custom orders. Check the install guide for cutout reference before installing if you're unsure.

Does the 2-in-1 Dell Plus use a different skin?

Yes. 2-in-1 variants have different hinge geometry and sometimes different port layouts. Check that the product page specifies the 2-in-1 variant, or match the exact model number to confirm.

Can I remove the skin later?

Our skins are designed to peel off with heat from a hair dryer. Apply gentle heat to the edge, lift slowly, and the skin should come up without leaving residue. Always test with low heat first on textured or painted chassis.

Is the Dell Plus the same as the old Inspiron Plus?

Largely yes — Dell renamed the Inspiron Plus line to Dell Plus in the 2025 refresh. If you have an Inspiron Plus from 2024, its template may still be listed under the Inspiron Plus name. Match the exact model number on the bottom label.
