Most installs take 20–40 minutes for a careful first-timer. The install video for your specific model walks through each panel. We include two skins per order, so if the first install doesn't go as planned, you have a second to try again.

Every template is designed on the actual device before release, so fit issues are rare. If something's off, reach out — we'll offer install help or process a return on unused, non-custom orders. Check the install guide for cutout reference before installing if you're unsure.

Flip the laptop over — the model is printed on the bottom label (usually something like XPS 13 9340 or Latitude 7450). Match the full model number to the product page. Dell reuses series names across multiple generations, so the number after the name matters.

Our skins are designed to peel off with heat from a hair dryer. Apply gentle heat to the edge, lift slowly, and the skin should come up without leaving residue. Always test with low heat first on textured or painted chassis.

Most XPS sets include a palm rest piece. The product page for each XPS model shows what's included. The palm rest skin goes over the factory carbon fiber weave, so the finish matches whatever material you chose rather than showing the original texture through.
