Installing skins on an Asus TUF

TUF laptops have simpler surface geometry than ROG — fewer vents, less complex chassis angles. The install guide marks tack points for each TUF model.

Start by aligning the lid using tack points. Work the squeegee outward from those points. The bottom panel comes next. TUF installs are usually quicker than ROG because the cutouts are less complex. Room temperature around 70°F works best.

What if the skin doesn't fit my laptop?

Every template is designed on the actual device before release, so fit issues are rare. If something's off, reach out — we'll offer install help or process a return on unused, non-custom orders. Check the install guide for cutout reference before installing if you're unsure.

Is the TUF A15 skin the same as the A17?

No. Different screen sizes mean different chassis dimensions. Match the exact model year and size on the product page — a TUF A15 2024 skin will not fit a TUF A17 2024.

Can I remove the skin later?

Our skins are designed to peel off with heat from a hair dryer. Apply gentle heat to the edge, lift slowly, and the skin should come up without leaving residue. Always test with low heat first on textured or painted chassis.

Is the skin durable enough for TUF's travel-ready positioning?

Yes. The cast automotive-grade vinyl holds up to backpack carry, desk docking, and daily handling. It doesn't yellow from sunlight or lift from temperature cycling. If you're rough on your laptop, the skin actually adds a small layer of scratch protection on the lid.
