Material guide

Material picks for Samsung Galaxy phones

Samsung Galaxy phones span a wide design range — from the minimalist S series to the folding Z series. Material choice depends on which Galaxy variant you have.

For S series and Note-style phones, clean materials work well — Matte Black, Satin White, and Satin Aluminum complement the flat-back design. Black Carbon Fiber adds grip.

For Z Fold and Z Flip, smaller surface area rewards textured materials — Black Honeycomb and Forged Carbon add visual interest at small scale.

Prism and Satin Ocean Shimmer add character that catches light — particularly effective on the larger S Ultra models.

Installation

Installing a Samsung Galaxy skin

Galaxy phones have varied design — flat S series, curved older models, folding Z series. The install guide marks tack points for each specific model.

Start by aligning the back using tack points — the camera module is the primary reference on flat phones. Work the squeegee outward. For Z Fold and Z Flip models, each panel has its own install sequence. Room temperature around 70°F works best.

Frequently asked about Samsung Phone Skins

How long does it take to install a phone skin?

Most installs take 10–20 minutes. The install video for your specific model walks through the back panel, camera cutouts, and any edge wrapping. Two skins per order means you have a second if the first install doesn't go as planned.

What if the skin doesn't fit my phone?

Every template is designed on the actual device before release. If something's off, reach out — we'll remake the skin or process a return on unused, non-custom orders. Check the install guide for cutout reference before installing if you're unsure.

How does the skin work on folding Z Fold / Z Flip phones?

The skin covers the exterior panels — front cover screen area on Z Flip, outer back on Z Fold. Each panel has its own template. The skin doesn't cross the hinge, so folding works exactly as before.

Will the skin work with my case?

The vinyl adds minimal bulk, so most cases fit over it without issue. Tight-fitting cases or ones with raised lips may sit slightly tighter, but the phone still feels like the phone. For MagSafe cases, check the install video for that device — some skins leave the ring exposed.

Does the S Pen still work with the skin installed?

Yes. The skin covers the back, not the display, so S Pen input works exactly as before. On Galaxy Note and S Ultra models with integrated S Pen slots, the pen-garage cutout is part of the template.
