Material picks for Google Pixel phones

Pixels have a distinctive horizontal camera bar and clean design language. Material choice should respect the Pixel's deliberate aesthetic.

Matte Black and Satin White are the natural picks — they preserve the clean Pixel geometry. Satin Aluminum and Brushed Aluminum add a metallic feel to the otherwise glass-finished back.

For character, Prism and Frosty Vanilla add subtle effects that pair well with Pixel's design sensibility. Black Carbon Fiber adds grip and shifts the aesthetic slightly toward performance.

Installation

Installing a Pixel skin

Pixels have clean geometry with the distinctive camera bar as the major visual element. The install guide marks tack points for each Pixel model.

Start by aligning the back using tack points — the camera bar is the primary reference. Work the squeegee outward. Take care around the camera bar cutout — its unusual width means more edge to align carefully. Room temperature around 70°F works best.

How long does it take to install a phone skin?

Most installs take 10–20 minutes. The install video for your specific model walks through the back panel, camera cutouts, and any edge wrapping. Two skins per order means you have a second if the first install doesn't go as planned.

What if the skin doesn't fit my phone?

Every template is designed on the actual device before release. If something's off, reach out — we'll remake the skin or process a return on unused, non-custom orders. Check the install guide for cutout reference before installing if you're unsure.

Is the Pixel Fold skin different from the regular Pixel?

Yes. Pixel Fold has different chassis dimensions and a folding design. Match Pixel Fold specifically on the product page.

Will the skin work with my case?

The vinyl adds minimal bulk, so most cases fit over it without issue. Tight-fitting cases or ones with raised lips may sit slightly tighter, but the phone still feels like the phone. For MagSafe cases, check the install video for that device — some skins leave the ring exposed.

How does the skin handle the Pixel camera bar?

The template cuts around the camera bar so it stays visible in its original form. The skin wraps up to the edge of the bar cleanly on both sides.
