Installing skins on an Acer laptop

Acer laptops vary significantly between gaming and ultrabook lines. Predator and Nitro have complex vent layouts; Swift has tighter edge tolerances. The install guide marks tack points for each specific model.

Start by aligning the lid using tack points. Work the squeegee outward from those points, pushing air toward the edges. The bottom panel comes next — take extra care on vent cutouts for gaming models.

Room temperature around 70°F works best. Every Acer model we cover has a dedicated install video posted online.

Every template is designed on the actual device before release, so fit issues are rare. If something's off, reach out — we'll offer install help or process a return on unused, non-custom orders. Check the install guide for cutout reference before installing if you're unsure.

How do I find my exact Acer model?

Flip the laptop over — the model is printed on the bottom label (something like PH16-72 for Predator Helios 16 or SF16-51 for Swift). Match the full model string on the product page.

Can I remove the skin later?

Our skins are designed to peel off with heat from a hair dryer. Apply gentle heat to the edge, lift slowly, and the skin should come up without leaving residue. Always test with low heat first on textured or painted chassis.

Does the skin cover the Predator logo on gaming laptops?

Most Predator templates cut around the logo so it stays visible (and the RGB stays on, on models with it). Some designs cover it fully. The product page for each Predator model shows which option is available.
