Surface Pro and Surface Go tablets share the clean Surface design language — magnesium construction, kickstand, clean lines. Material choice should respect that aesthetic.

Satin Aluminum, Matte Black, and Charcoal Grey read as natural finish alternatives. Brushed Aluminum and Satin White transform the look while preserving the clean geometry.

Installation

Installing a Surface tablet skin

Surface Pro and Go have integrated kickstands that open away from the back panel. The install guide marks tack points for each Surface model.

Start by aligning the back using tack points. Work the squeegee outward. The kickstand hinge line needs a clean edge so the kickstand opens and closes without catching. Room temperature around 70°F works best.

Frequently asked about Microsoft Tablet Skins

How long does it take to install a tablet skin?

Most installs take 15–30 minutes. The install video for your model walks through the back panel, camera cutouts, and speaker alignment. Two skins per order means you have a second if the first install doesn't go as planned.

What if the skin doesn't fit my tablet?

Every template is designed on the actual tablet before release. If something's off, reach out — we'll remake the skin or process a return on unused, non-custom orders. Check the install guide for cutout reference before installing if you're unsure.

Will the Type Cover still attach and work?

Yes. The Type Cover connector cutout is part of the template. The cover attaches magnetically and operates normally.

Will the skin interfere with a stylus, keyboard cover, or case?

The vinyl adds minimal thickness. Most cases and keyboard covers fit over the skin without issue. Styluses work as normal since the skin covers the back, not the screen. For specific accessory compatibility, reach out before installing.

Does the kickstand still open normally with the skin installed?

Yes. The template includes a clean cutout along the kickstand hinge line so it opens and supports the tablet as before. The back of the kickstand itself has its own skin piece in most templates.
