Installing a Nintendo Switch skin

Switch and Switch OLED sets include the console body, the Joy-Con exteriors, and sometimes the rails. The install guide walks through each piece.

Start with the console back using tack points. Work the squeegee outward. Move to the Joy-Cons next — each has its own template piece. The Switch Lite has a different set since the Joy-Cons are integrated. Room temperature around 70°F works best.

Does the skin cover the buttons, joysticks, or trackpads?

No — skins cover the back and grips, leaving buttons, joysticks, and trackpads fully accessible. Cutouts align around every control so the device feels and works exactly as before.

Are skins interchangeable between the original Switch, Switch OLED, and Switch Lite?

No. Each variant has different chassis dimensions and design. The Lite in particular is a single-piece design with no detachable controllers. Match the exact Switch model on the product page.
