Material picks for iPad

iPads have clean machined-aluminum construction that rewards material choices complementing the premium design.

Satin Aluminum and Brushed Aluminum are the most natural — they read as alternate factory finishes. Matte Black and Satin White transform the iPad while keeping the clean geometry intact.

For character, Prism and Frosty Vanilla add subtle effects that pair well with iPad's premium positioning. Black Carbon Fiber adds grip, especially on the larger Pro sizes.

Installing an iPad skin

iPads have clean geometry. The install guide marks tack points for each iPad model.

Start by aligning the back using tack points — the Apple logo is usually the primary reference. Work the squeegee outward. Take care around the Smart Connector, camera module, and Apple Pencil magnetic strip on models that have them. Room temperature around 70°F works best.

How long does it take to install a tablet skin?

Most installs take 15–30 minutes. The install video for your model walks through the back panel, camera cutouts, and speaker alignment. Two skins per order means you have a second if the first install doesn't go as planned.

What if the skin doesn't fit my tablet?

Every template is designed on the actual tablet before release. If something's off, reach out — we'll remake the skin or process a return on unused, non-custom orders. Check the install guide for cutout reference before installing if you're unsure.

Will the Magic Keyboard still attach with the skin on?

Yes. The Smart Connector on the back of the iPad has a cutout. Magic Keyboard attaches magnetically and operates normally with the skin installed.

Will the skin interfere with a stylus, keyboard cover, or case?

The vinyl adds minimal thickness. Most cases and keyboard covers fit over the skin without issue. Styluses work as normal since the skin covers the back, not the screen. For specific accessory compatibility, reach out before installing.

How do I find my exact iPad model?

Open Settings > General > About. The exact model appears at the top (like iPad Pro 13-inch M4, or iPad Air 11-inch 6th gen). Match the full model on the product page — iPad naming is confusing, so exact matches matter.
